​Hi Champions. In Matthew 5: 13-16, Jesus says that we’re the salt of the earth and the light of the world. He then says that people should see our good works. In other parts of the Bible, He tells us to keep our good works secret and hidden. Why? In other places, I think Jesus could be talking about the good works done to earn God’s approval, salvation, and even people’s approval. Perhaps here, He’s speaking of the good works that result from salvation. We can’t earn our salvation by good works. However, the good works we do after we’ve received salvation by grace through faith can be the light of Jesus to others. People can see the light of God through our good works and begin to glorify Him. Do you want to shine the light of Jesus to people? Do good works from a place of secured salvation. Let people glorify God and remember that our good works are not about us.  Grace and Peace to you.
